As I was cleaning out my bookshelves, I found these two sitting next to each other and I thought it funny that two similarly-themed books were in such proximity, since my books are thrown on shelves haphazardly with no rhyme or reason.  I had been meaning to pass these along for quite some time, so I decided it was time for another giveaway.


I am giving away two ARCs from books that came out earlier this year.  Both titles are fiction with an archeological theme.  In Land of Marvels, a British archeologist races to excavate an ancient Assyrian palace before a German railroad forces him away from the site.  Meanwhile, professor of antiquities Jack Hawthorne commences a quest to locate the remains of an Old Testament prophet, sending him on a journey around the world in Elisha's Bones.  One lucky winner, two fabulous adventures*!


The contest will run until the end of the month, June 30th 2009.
If I find any other books that kinda-sorta match the theme as I clean out my shelves, I'll add them to the prize pot.

* In the interest of honesty and disclosure, I have to admit that I didn't particularly care for either of these books.  But don't let that discourage you; reviews have been quite mixed for both novels.
